The Future Workers of Northwest Indiana is a program created by one simple question.
"Why do you want this job?"
The applicant's answer: 'Because my mom is going to throw me out when I turn 18."
When this situation was presented to the vice principal at the applicant's school, his reply was: "he is not the only one."
So from this unfortunate experience, it became a project to help bridge the gap between school and the workforce.
Future Workers of Northwest Indiana is a program that helps young men and women prepare for the employment searches ahead. We go over resume writing, how to dress appropriately, what to say/not to say in an interview, financial literacy, and much more.
We have had several companies express interest in interviewing our participants with the possibility of employment.
