The Future Workers of Northwest Indiana is a program created by one simple question.
"Why do you want this job?"
The applicant's answer: 'Because my mom is going to throw me out when I turn 18."
When this situation was presented to the vice principal at the applicant's school, his reply was: "he is not the only one."
So from this unfortunate experience, it became a project to help bridge the gap between school and the workforce.
Future Workers of Northwest Indiana is a program that helps young men and women prepare for the employment searches ahead. We go over resume writing, how to dress appropriately, what to say/not to say in an interview, and much more.
We have had several companies express interest in interviewing our participants with the possibility of employment.
Our next seminar is scheduled for Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 12:00 to 2:00
